Non verbal communication: body language for business

Every time we face somebody we talk even without words. The body has many ways of communicating which are subtle and extremely complex: gesturing, how we stand or sit, whether we cross our legs or not, our head’s direction, our eyes or facial expressions and even without any thought a good observer could pick up a hidden message out of the minimal contraction of a muscle.

Independently of the words we decide to voice is inevitable to talk with the "language" of our body at the same time. Still, most people are not aware of this and do not benefit from “listening” to what others are saying with their behavior.

2000 years ago there were already suggestions that our body could express our inner feelings but in the last 30 years the non-verbal communication has flourished and consensus reached while experiments have proven that from all communication, non-verbal accounts for more than 50% and sometimes even as much as 95%.

During this high motivational course, the participant will be able to understand the background and basic concepts of the body language.

We will focus in each part of our body; recognize the universal expressions and the subtle messages that our body gives away unconsciously.

Using pictures, interactive sessions and role play participants will practice their new acquired skills consolidating the concepts and realizing how to be better in communicating and influencing others with a goal in mind (whether selling a product, a project, greater shared understanding, talent searching, better overall communication or just self promoting).

The course is set both for business purposes or to boost the participants' self esteem and communication skills. It will consider gender, cultural differences, personal space, friendship and more.

The course is delivered by GÜETCHU.

Basic and Advanced: levels are achieved by exposure. The longer the training the higher the level. A basic level is achieved in 1 day session. Advanced level is from 2 to 3 days with an in-course assessment.

The content of this course can also be adapted for other learning opportunities such as: seminars, speaking engagements, role based learning, private individual skills developments classes, coaching and more.
