ISO/IEC 20000 is an international standard that allows organisations to show that they actually apply IT Service Management best practices. The standard ensures that the organisations that get certified are constantly striving for ways to improve in the areas of IT Services Management. The ISO/IEC 20000 standard was first published in 2005, based on the ITIL® best practices. It quickly became widely diffused and has now become a mark of differentiation and a competitive advantage for suppliers of IT services.
The APM Group holds and manages an ISO/IEC 20000 certification scheme for organisations that want to get certified against the standard and a professional qualification scheme, both previously managed by itSMF.
The professional qualification scheme is divided into three levels (Foundation, Practitioner, Auditor), with a course and exam available for each one:
The ISO/IEC 20000 training courses are run by accredited ISO/IEC 20000 teachers and they are designed based on solid experiences in the implementation of IT Service Management Systems based on the standard in organisations of all sizes and sectors.
iLEARN offers Foundation and Practitioner levels in the following ways:
E-learning format is not available for the Practitioner level.
